Unified Elevator ensures that all our elevators are delivered in Kerala with the necessary licenses. Our commitment to safety and compliance means we accept projects that can meet the government's licensing standards and safety guidelines.
Necessary documents required for obtaining license:
• A certified copy of the building's electrical main schematic diagram is required and approved by relevant authorities must be submitted.
• submit a local body-approved copy of the building plan and elevation, with the lift's position clearly marked
• submit a valid building permit or tax receipt from the local authorities to verify building ownership.
• provide proof of insurance for lift users, in accordance with the Kerala Lifts and Escalators Act 2013.
Upon receipt of the required documents, Unified Elevators guarantees that the lift will be delivered with a valid license from the Kerala Electrical Inspectorate, which will remain valid for 3 years, as per the current government regulations (as of 2021).
Renewal of Existing Lift Licens:
The onus of completing all renewal activities lies with the client.
• As per Rule 5 of Kerala Lift and Escalator Rules 2012, applications for license renewal must be made using Form G, to be filled and submitted to the Kerala State Inspectorate.
• License renewal procedures must commence 3 months before the expiration date, accompanied by a fee of Rs.1105/- per lift, paid through the government treasury. A late fee of Rs.115/- per month will be applied for delays.
• Insurance policies must be renewed annually to ensure continued coverage.
